U of I requires you to register your university-affiliated international travel to manage emergencies and track data.

Who Should Complete a Faculty/Staff International Travel Registration?
- All faculty/staff must register themselves in the International Travel system for any international travel that is connected in any way to the University.
- Faculty and staff travelling for personal reasons while engaging in Flexwork according to FSH3250.
- If students will accompany faculty or staff abroad, and it is not a credit-bearing activity, then the students must create their own Student International Travel Registration as well.
- If students will accompany faculty or staff abroad, and it is a credit-bearing activity, then the leading faculty/staff member must complete a Faculty/Staff-Led International Trip (FSIT) Proposal, not an International Travel Registration. Once this is approved, students will be provided a link to register themselves as a part of the trip and complete U of I requirements for students traveling abroad.
- Login using your UI Net ID and password
- Complete the itinerary and all other requirements
- Be sure to click submit once you’ve completed all steps to ensure your registration is complete and you will receive a confirmation email.
Who Should Complete a Student International Travel Registration?
- All active graduate/undergraduate students travelling internationally for non-credit bearing purposes that are affiliated to U of I in any way (paid with U of I resources, representing U of I, attending a conference or meeting, conducting research/engaging in degree requirements that are not credit bearing).
- All active students going on UI-affiliated travel that will not earn college credit.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are a student traveling on a credit-bearing experience, DO NOT USE the Student Travel Registry.
